More banana bread
I keep messing around with the recipe and realizing that it doesn't really need anything else. The photo below was an experiment with marbling it by adding cocoa powder and instant espresso to part of the dough, and I left off the cinnamon sugar topping. My primary taster said nothing about the marbling (which didn't change the flavor), and commented on the lack of cinnamon sugar. Note taken.
If kids want to help out with this, some kids really enjoy getting to mash the bananas. It's productive destruction! You can also get about a dozen muffins out of a batch of dough, if you'd like to make a more portable or portion-controlled version, just start checking for doneness at 20 minutes.
